The Pacific Health Information Hub for the Wellington region

Tonight the Prime Minister and Director General of Health announced that New Zealand will be changing alert levelsAuckland to Level 3 and the rest of New Zealand to Level 2, following three positive cases of COVID-19 in the community. 

Wellington will be at  Alert Level 2 and this will run through till midnight on Wednesday 17th February. This means social distancing measures will apply. Mass gatherings are limited to 100 people. All other guidance about Level 2 will apply. Mask use is required on public transport, and encouraged in public places.
