160 Pacific people and families were pleased to receive their first dose of the Pfizer vaccine at a successful Pacific Vaccination Day. The successful day marked the start of the Wellington Region’s DHB’s strategy to vaccinate more than 5000 Pacific people and their families over the coming months.
A combined effort by the Hutt Valley and Capital and Coast DHBs, Te Awakairangi and Pacific Health Services NaeNae, the roll out for Group 3 i.e. for Pacific, Maori older people, disabled people, people with long-term medical conditions was well received by the Hutt’s Pacific community.
Although the day was successful, some people are still worried about getting vaccinated.
